UPSC CAPF Assistant Commandant Recruitment Notification

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the recruitment for the position of Assistant Commandant within the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPF). Aspiring candidates for the UPSC CAPF AC 2026 examination can now submit their applications online through the official UPSC website. Eligibility Requirements

Candidates' ages will be assessed as of August 1, 2026. The minimum age limit is set at 20 years, while the maximum age limit is 25 years. Reserved category candidates will benefit from age relaxation: SC and ST candidates will receive a five-year extension, and OBC candidates will have a three-year extension. Additionally, applicants must hold a graduation degree from a recognized institution in India.

Selection Process

The selection of candidates will involve a written examination, followed by a Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and a Physical Standards Test (PST). The written exam will consist of two papers: Paper 1 with 250 questions and Paper 2 with 200 questions. The examination is scheduled for July 19, 2026, with Paper 1 taking place from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and Paper 2 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM. Successful candidates will then be invited to participate in the PET and PST.
