UPPSC RO ARO Mains 2025: Application Process Begins


The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has initiated the application process for the Mains Examination for Review Officer (RO) and Assistant Review Officer (ARO). Candidates who successfully passed the preliminary examination earlier this year can now apply. The deadline for submitting applications is set for October 31, 2025.


Preliminary Exam Conducted in July 2025

The preliminary examination for 419 RO/ARO positions took place on July 27, 2025, at various locations throughout Uttar Pradesh. The results were announced on September 16, revealing that 74,555 candidates qualified for the Mains examination.


Qualified Candidates by Post

The official UPPSC notification provides the following breakdown of candidates who qualified:



  • Review Officer (RO): 6,093 candidates qualified for 338 positions.


  • Assistant Review Officer (ARO): 1,386 candidates qualified for 79 positions.


  • Assistant Review Officer (Accounts): 30 candidates qualified for 2 positions.



Steps to Apply for the Mains Exam

Interested candidates can apply for the Mains examination via the official UPPSC website — uppsc.up.nic.in. Follow these steps to complete the application:



  1. Visit the official UPPSC website.


  2. Click on the link titled “SAMIKSHA ADHIKARI / SAHAYAK SAMIKSHA ADHIKARI (Mains) Exam-2023”.


  3. Register with the required details to generate login credentials.


  4. Log in using your credentials and accurately fill out the Mains application form.


  5. Review all entered information carefully before final submission.


  6. Download and print the completed form for future reference.



Important: Submit Hard Copy by November 7

After completing the online application, candidates must send a printed copy of the application form along with necessary documents to the UPPSC office by registered post.


The envelope should be addressed to:
