UPPSC PCS 2026 Examination Update



UPPSC PCS 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission has announced an extension for the application deadline for the PCS 2026 examination. Candidates now have until August 3 to submit their applications. Initially, the deadline was set for July 27, as per the advertisement released on June 25, 2026. Additionally, the deadline for fee submission has also been pushed to August 3. Candidates will now have until August 10 to make any corrections to their applications or address any fee-related issues.


As per the UPPSC PCS 2026 notification, there are currently 500 vacancies available for Group A and Group B positions within the state, with the possibility of this number increasing. The Commission has specified that claims regarding category, sub-category, domicile, gender, date of birth, EWS status, creamy layer status, name, and address will only be considered valid if submitted by the application and modification deadline.


Eligibility Criteria for UP PCS:
A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university is essential. Some specific positions may necessitate additional or specialized qualifications.


Age Requirements:


The age limit is generally set between 21 to 40 years as of July 1, 2026. Candidates from reserved categories will receive age relaxation according to the applicable rules.


Application Fees:


The application fee for candidates in the General, OBC, and EWS categories is ₹125, which includes online processing charges. For SC/ST candidates, the fee is ₹65. Differently-abled candidates are required to pay ₹25, while ex-servicemen will also pay ₹65.
