Application Process for Assistant Professor Roles



The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has commenced the application process for the Assistant Professor positions. Aspiring candidates can submit their applications online through the official UPPSC website. The recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 1253 Assistant Professor vacancies. The deadline for submitting applications is set for October 6, 2025, while candidates can make corrections to their application forms until October 13, 2025.


Application Fees

Fee Structure


Candidates belonging to the General and OBC categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 100 along with a processing fee of Rs 25. For SC and ST candidates, the examination fee is Rs 40, with an additional processing fee of Rs 25. Notably, Divyang candidates are exempt from the examination fee but must pay a processing fee of Rs 25.


Eligibility Criteria

Educational Requirements


Applicants must possess a postgraduate degree with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized institution in India, along with passing the National Eligibility Test.


Age Requirements

Age Limitations


Candidates must be at least 21 years old and not exceed 40 years of age. Age relaxation is applicable for candidates from special categories, with SC and ST candidates receiving a 5-year relaxation and OBC candidates a 3-year relaxation.


Selection Process

Examination Details


Selection will be based on the results of a preliminary examination followed by a main examination. The preliminary exam will consist of 120 multiple-choice questions, totaling 150 marks, with a duration of two hours. Successful candidates from this stage will be invited to participate in the main examination.
