UPPSC APO Recruitment 2025: The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has launched a significant recruitment drive aimed at the youth, inviting applications for 182 Assistant Prosecution Officer (APO) positions. The online application window opened on September 16, 2025, and will remain accessible until October 16, 2025. This date also marks the deadline for submitting the examination fee and completing the application process. Additionally, candidates can make corrections to their applications and settle fees until October 24.


Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification: Applicants must possess a graduate degree in law.


Age Limit: Candidates should be aged between 21 and 40 years as of July 1, 2025.

Changes in Exam Pattern

Exam Pattern Updates: Significant modifications have been introduced in the exam format for UPPSC APO Recruitment 2025. The preliminary examination will continue to feature Part-1 (General Knowledge) worth 50 marks, while Part-2 (Law) has been revised. The new distribution includes 30 marks for the Indian Judicial Code, 25 marks for the Indian Civil Defence Code, 20 marks for the Indian Evidence Act, 15 marks for the Uttar Pradesh Police Act and Rules, and 10 marks for the Indian Constitution.


Moreover, the main examination format has been altered. Previously, it was scored out of 400 marks, but it has now been increased to 500 marks, with English (50 marks) becoming a mandatory subject. The revised syllabus for the main examination includes General Hindi (100 marks), General English (50 marks), General Knowledge (50 marks), Criminal Law and Procedure (100 marks), Evidence Act (100 marks), and other Acts (100 marks).
