SSC Exams Update: On October 26, the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) released a corrigendum that modifies the timelines for two significant recruitment exams. The Junior Engineer recruitment test will now occur in two distinct phases, and the schedule for the Delhi Police and CAPF Sub-Inspector recruitment exam has also been adjusted.
Junior Engineer Exam Schedule
The Paper-1 of the Junior Engineer 2026 examination was initially set for November 2 to November 6. However, the schedule has been expanded to include an additional testing window from November 30 to December 1. Consequently, Paper-1 will now be conducted in two segments: the first in early November and the second at the end of the month.
This examination will be administered in a Computer-Based Test (CBT) format. Candidates from Civil, Mechanical, and Electrical engineering disciplines are eligible to participate. These recruitments are aimed at various ministries, departments, and organizations under the Central Government.
Delhi Police and CAPF SI Examination Dates
New Dates for Delhi Police and CAPF SI Exam:
The Delhi Police and CAPF Sub-Inspector (SI) examination was originally scheduled for November 20 to November 28, 2026. The new dates are now set from November 23 to November 28, with the first three days of the original schedule removed. This recruitment drive aims to fill 1,871 Sub-Inspector positions across the Delhi Police and CAPFs, including roles for SI (Executive) in the Delhi Police, SI (GD) in the CAPFs, and SI (Fire) in the CISF. The salary for a Sub-Inspector in the Delhi Police is classified under Level 6, with a pay scale ranging from ₹35,400 to ₹1,12,400.
