UP TET Exam Date Update

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is set to unveil a schedule for various examinations and recruitment processes at the start of the new year. Reports suggest that this schedule will be made public during the first week of January. A significant highlight of this calendar could be the announcement of the UP TET exam date, which has been eagerly awaited by candidates for the past four years.

Postponement of TET Exam

The UP TET exam was postponed following a meeting chaired by the new head of the UP Education Service Selection Commission, Prashant Kumar, who is also a former DGP of UP. During this meeting, it was confirmed that the new exam date would be included in the upcoming calendar. Initially, the UP TET was slated for January 29 and 30, 2026, and millions of candidates are looking forward to this exam, as it has not been held in Uttar Pradesh for four years.

Upcoming Exam Schedule

In addition to the UP TET, the January release of the UPPSC calendar may also include dates for other recruitments such as the Provincial Civil Service (PCS), Review Officer/Assistant Review Officer (RO/ARO), and Block Education Officer (BEO). Last year's calendar announced dates for 21 different recruitments, and it is anticipated that the 2026 recruitment schedule is nearly finalized and could be announced soon.

Challenges Ahead for the Commission

The UP Education Service Selection Commission faces the challenge of conducting examinations punctually while ensuring that irregularities are completely avoided. Delays in examination schedules have often led to frustration among the youth in Uttar Pradesh. It will be interesting to see how Prashant Kumar, now serving in the UP government, addresses these pressing issues.
