Important Update for SSC GD Recruitment Candidates
Candidates who have applied for the SSC GD Recruitment 2026 exam should note that the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is expected to announce the exam date shortly. The Computer-Based Test (CBT), which was initially set for February 23rd, has been postponed due to unforeseen circumstances.
Self-Slot Booking Not Available
It is important to note that self-slot booking will not be an option for this examination. Candidates must attend the exam at the designated center assigned by the SSC.
Availability of City Slip and Admit Card
The SSC plans to issue the exam city slip for the GD Constable recruitment exam 10 days prior to the exam date. This slip will provide candidates with their exam city information, aiding in travel preparations. Additionally, admit cards will be made available four days before the exam, and candidates can download them online. No physical hall tickets will be mailed.
Exam Pattern Overview
The SSC GD Constable Recruitment 2026 exam will feature 80 multiple-choice questions. Each correct answer will earn 2 marks, while incorrect answers will incur a penalty of 0.25 marks. Questions that are unanswered will not be scored. The exam will be divided into four sections, each containing 20 questions covering General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and General Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and Hindi/English.

This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 25,487 vacancies. The distribution of posts is as follows: 616 for the BSF, 14,595 for the CISF, 5,490 for the CRPF, 1,764 for the SSB, 1,293 for the ITBP, 1,706 for the AR, and 23 for the SSF.
