Eligibility Criteria for UP Police SI and ASI

UP Police Sub Inspector (Confidential): Candidates must possess a graduate degree or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution. Additionally, they should have a Hindi typing speed of at least 25 words per minute and an English typing speed of 30 words per minute. A shorthand dictation speed of 80 words per minute in Hindi is also required, along with passing the 'O Level' computer examination from the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT).


UP Police Assistant Sub Inspector (Clerk): A graduate degree is necessary, along with a Hindi typing speed of 25 words per minute and an 'O Level' computer certificate. UP Police Assistant Sub Inspector (Accounts): Candidates should have a graduation in Commerce or a Post Graduate Diploma in Accounting, with a Hindi typing speed of at least 15 words per minute. They must also have passed the O Level computer examination from NIELIT, with the qualification being valid as of May 5, 2022.
