UP Police Recruitment 2025: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has released a recruitment notification for the role of Assistant Operator in the UP Police Radio Department. As per the announcement made on December 3, 2025, there are 44 vacancies available for this position. The application window opened on December 3, 2025, and will remain open until January 2, 2026.


The recruitment drive will fill 44 positions, which include:



  • 20 positions for the Unreserved (UR) category


  • 4 positions for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS)


  • 11 positions for Other Backward Classes (OBC)


  • 11 positions for Non-Creamy Layer


  • 9 positions for Scheduled Castes (SC)


  • No positions for Scheduled Tribes (ST)



Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must have completed their Intermediate (10+2) examination with Physics and Mathematics from a recognized board in India or an equivalent qualification accepted by the government.


Age Limit: Applicants must be aged between 18 and 22 years as of July 1, 2025. This means candidates born before July 1, 2003, and after July 1, 2007, are not eligible. However, age relaxation is available for candidates from Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC), ex-servicemen, and other specified categories as per Uttar Pradesh government regulations.

Candidates are required to pay a non-refundable application fee based on their category. The fee structure is as follows:



  • General, EWS, and OBC candidates: ₹500


  • SC and ST candidates: ₹400



Selection Process

Selection Process:


The selection will occur in multiple stages:



  1. The first stage involves a written examination, which is an OMR-based objective test comprising 160 questions with a duration of 150 minutes. This exam will be worth a total of 400 marks, and a merit list will be generated based on the results.


  2. The second stage includes document verification and the Physical Standard Test (PST), which will assess original certificates and measure height, chest (for males), and weight (for females).


  3. The final stage is the Physical Efficiency Test (PET), where candidates must complete a qualifying race and meet other physical standards. Only those who pass this stage will be considered for final selection.
