UP Police Constable Physical Test Update


Important Announcement for UP Police Constable Candidates: The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has made significant changes to the schedule for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) for Civil Police Constable recruitment. The test that was initially set for October 1 will now take place on October 8.


Reason for Rescheduling:
Due to inclement weather, the Physical Efficiency Test planned for October 1, 2026, across nine centers has been postponed to October 8, 2026.


Impacted Centers:
The following nine centers will have the revised date: Fatehpur, Bareilly, Moradabad, Gorakhpur, Kanpur, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Azamgarh, and Mirzapur.
Meanwhile, the test will proceed as originally scheduled on October 1, 2026, at these six centers: Prayagraj, Jhansi, Lucknow (35th Battalion), Dr. Shakuntala Misra Rehabilitation University (Lucknow), Raebareli, and Aligarh.


Admit Card Information:
New admit cards for candidates whose tests have been rescheduled to October 8, 2026, will be available on the recruitment board's official website starting September 30, 2026.


Eligibility for the PET:
The written examination for this recruitment occurred on June 8, 9, and 10, 2026. The results were announced on July 31, 2026. Candidates who achieved the minimum qualifying marks after score normalization were invited for the next phase, which included document verification and the Physical Standard Test (DV/PST). Those who passed or were provisionally successful in this stage are now eligible for the Physical Efficiency Test.


Running Requirements:
During the physical efficiency test, male candidates are required to complete a 4.8-kilometer run within 25 minutes, while female candidates must finish a 2.4-kilometer run in 14 minutes.


Failure to meet these time limits will result in disqualification from the recruitment process, and candidates will not be granted a second opportunity to retake the test.
