Update on UP Home Guard Recruitment Physical Test

Candidates preparing for the UP Home Guard recruitment physical test in 2025 should note that the Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has delayed the physical test schedule. Originally set to begin on September 14, the test has been postponed for the second time, following an earlier delay from September 8.

This decision was made due to persistent rainfall affecting the state, prompting the UPPRPB to reschedule the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

New Schedule to be Announced

The UPPRPB is expected to provide an updated schedule for the physical test soon. Candidates are advised to keep an eye on the official website for the latest notifications regarding the revised dates. The recruitment drive aims to fill over 42,000 Home Guard positions.

Testing Locations Across the State

The physical tests will be conducted at 15 designated locations throughout Uttar Pradesh. These tests will be organized on a zonal basis. For instance, candidates in the Meerut Zone will participate at the 6th Battalion PAC (Meerut) and 47th Battalion PAC (Ghaziabad). In the Varanasi Zone, the tests will occur at the 39th Battalion PAC (Mirzapur) and the Reserve Police Lines (Jaunpur).

Other locations include the 4th Battalion PAC (Prayagraj) in the Prayagraj Zone and the Reserve Police Lines (Sant Kabir Nagar) in the Gorakhpur Zone. Additionally, candidates will run at the 45th Battalion PAC (Aligarh) in the Agra Zone, 33rd Battalion PAC (Jhansi) in the Kanpur Zone, and various PACs in the Bareilly and Lucknow Zones.

Running Requirements

For the UP Home Guard recruitment, male candidates are required to complete a 4.8-kilometer run within 28 minutes, while female candidates must finish a 2.4-kilometer run in 16 minutes. The running tests will be conducted in two shifts each day, starting at 5:00 AM and 6:00 AM.
