UP D.El.Ed Admission 2025 Overview


UP D.El.Ed Admission 2025: The application window for the Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed) course in Uttar Pradesh is set to open on November 24, 2025. Interested candidates must submit their applications by December 15, 2025. The deadline for paying the application fee is December 16, while the final date for completing and printing the online application is December 18. Additionally, the state ranks based on merit will be published on December 23.


Eligibility Criteria

Only Graduates Can Apply
According to the Allahabad High Court, graduation is the minimum qualification required for admission to the D.El.Ed program. Therefore, only those who have completed their graduation are eligible to apply.


Available Seats

Admissions to 2.33 Lakh Seats
This year, a total of 233,350 seats are available for the D.El.Ed program across Uttar Pradesh. This includes 10,600 seats in 67 District Institutes of Education and Training (DIETs) and 222,750 seats in 2,974 private colleges. The admission process has been delayed by about four months due to an ongoing court case concerning eligibility. Typically, online applications for the D.El.Ed program start in May or June, but this year the process will proceed only after the court's decision.

This policy aims to ensure that local candidates can secure admission to the free seats available in the District Institutes of Education and Training. Additionally, candidates from other states will not receive any reservation and will be categorized as general applicants.
