Overview of Exam Centers for UP Board 2026

The Uttar Pradesh Board has released a preliminary list of exam centers for the upcoming 2026 10th and 12th-grade examinations. This list is available on their official website, upmsp.edu.in. A total of 7,448 schools are proposed as exam centers, although this list is still provisional and may be updated.

How to Submit an Objection?

If there are any discrepancies regarding the exam centers, such as incorrect school names or missing entries, individuals can file an objection online until December 4, 2025. After this date, no further complaints will be accepted. The final list of exam centers will be published on December 30.

Details of Proposed Exam Centers

The UP Board has suggested a total of 7,448 centers for the exams, which include:

  • 910 government schools

  • 3,484 aided schools

  • 3,054 financed (non-government) schools

In comparison, last year, 7,657 centers were proposed, comprising 940 government schools, 3,512 aided schools, and 3,205 financed schools. This indicates a reduction of 209 centers this year.

Reason for Reduction in Centers

The decrease in the number of exam centers correlates with a slight decline in student registrations. For the 2026 exams, 5,230,297 students are registered, with 2,750,945 in 10th grade and 2,479,352 in 12th grade. In contrast, the previous year saw 5.438 million students, with 2.74 million in 10th grade and 2.698 million in 12th grade.

Exam Schedule

The UP Board has confirmed that the high school and intermediate examinations will commence on February 18, 2026, and conclude on March 12, 2026, spanning approximately 22-23 days. UP Board Secretary Bhagwati Singh stated, "We have aimed to ensure that every student is assigned an examination center within their district, and to mitigate cheating, some weaker and remote schools have been excluded from this year's list."
