Details on the Proposed Examination Centres
Online Access and Objection Submission Deadline
The UP Board has proposed a total of 7,448 examination centres for the upcoming board exams, categorized as follows:
910 Government Schools
3,484 Aided Schools
3,054 Unaided (Private) Schools
Stakeholders who identify any discrepancies or have valid concerns regarding the assigned centres can file objections online before the deadline. All submissions must include supporting evidence and be uploaded in the required format via the official portal. The board will evaluate the objections through district-level officials for final approval.
The finalized centre list will be published on December 11, 2025, after reviewing and updating based on the objections received.
Innovative Digital Monitoring for Centre Allocation
Transparent Centre Allocation Process
This year, the UP Board has adopted a fully digital and data-driven approach for selecting examination centres. Tehsil-level committees assessed school infrastructure, seating capacity, and student distribution to finalize the proposed list.
The published list contains details for each centre, including student capacity, district mapping, and approval status. After reviewing objections, necessary adjustments may be made to ensure a seamless examination experience for thousands of candidates.
District School Inspectors will evaluate the online objections. If validated, the centre list will be revised with the approval of the District Committee led by the District Magistrate. The board has also indicated that the number of exam centres may increase following the final revisions.

Exam Dates and Registration Numbers
The UP Board Class 10 and 12 examinations are set to begin on February 18, 2026, and will conclude on March 12, 2026. This year, a total of 52,30,297 students have registered for the board exams, broken down as follows:
27,50,947 High School candidates

The registration numbers have decreased by nearly 2 lakh compared to 2025, when around 54 lakh students enrolled. However, with over 7,000 proposed centres—and potentially more after the objection review—the board aims to ensure accessible and efficient exam facilities throughout the state.
