Union Bank of India has opened applications for a total of 395 positions, including Specialist Officers, General Banking Officers, and Domain Expert Officers, as part of its recruitment initiative for the year 2026-27.


The recruitment campaign is aimed at individuals looking to secure officer roles within the banking sector. The online application process commenced on July 21 and will remain open until August 10. This recruitment is for regular positions, and successful candidates will be assigned to various locations across the country based on the bank's needs.

Application Details and Age Criteria

The application fee is set at ₹177 for candidates from SC, ST, and PwBD categories, while applicants from other categories must pay ₹1,180. Age requirements differ based on the position; generally, candidates must be at least 22 years old, with maximum ages ranging from 30 to 50 years. Age relaxation is available for candidates from reserved categories.


Selection Process Overview

For positions at MMGS-2 and MMGS-3 levels, the selection process may include an online exam (if necessary), followed by group discussions, personal interviews, document verification, and a medical check-up. For senior roles from SMGS-4 to TEGS-6, additional assessments and interviews may be part of the process. Specialist Officer candidates will face an online exam focused on their professional expertise, while General Banking Officer candidates will be tested on reasoning, quantitative aptitude, English language, and professional knowledge. A penalty of 0.25 marks will be imposed for incorrect answers.


Compensation Package

Successful candidates will enjoy a competitive salary based on their roles. The starting salary for Managers is ₹64,820, while Deputy General Managers can earn up to ₹1,56,500. The estimated annual CTC for various positions ranges from approximately ₹21 lakh to ₹47 lakh, along with benefits such as Dearness Allowance, House Rent Allowance, medical facilities, Leave Fare Concession, and other allowances.


Probation and Service Bond Requirements

Newly appointed candidates will undergo a probation period of two years. Additionally, a three-year service bond will be required upon joining. If a candidate resigns before fulfilling this period, they will be liable to pay the specified bond amount along with applicable taxes.
