UIDAI Online Data Hackathon 2026: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), in partnership with the National Informatics Centre (NIC) and the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), has unveiled an online hackathon for the year 2026. This event will focus on data concerning Aadhaar enrollment and updates, with the goal of analyzing societal trends and patterns.
The application window will open on January 5, 2026, and interested candidates can submit their applications until January 20, 2026.
Participation Details:
UIDAI will provide anonymized datasets related to Aadhaar enrollment and updates for analysis. Participants are expected to examine these datasets to uncover significant trends, anomalies, or predictive indicators that could assist in policy formulation and system enhancements.
Prize Structure:
The competition offers a total prize pool with the first prize being Rs. 2 lakhs, followed by Rs. 1.5 lakhs for second place, Rs. 75,000 for third, Rs. 50,000 for fourth, and Rs. 25,000 for fifth. All winners will also receive certificates.

3. Third Place - Rs. 75,000 and Certificate
4. Fourth Place - Rs. 50,000 and Certificate

Eligibility Criteria:
This hackathon is open to students enrolled in any recognized university or institution across the country. Participants must be at least 18 years old as of January 1, 2026. Students can compete individually or in teams of up to five members.
The team leader is required to submit the student identity cards of all team members during project submission. Note that service providers linked with UIDAI and NIC are not eligible to participate.
Registration Process:
All participants must register through the JanParichay portal. After logging in, they can visit event.data.gov.in to complete the hackathon registration. New users must first register on JanParichay using their mobile numbers and are encouraged to update their email addresses.
Submission Timeline:
Participants will have 15 days to register and submit their ideas after the hackathon launch. Shortlisted teams will be invited to present their concepts to UIDAI officials and a jury panel. The awards ceremony may take place in either Delhi or Bengaluru, with UIDAI covering travel expenses for the selected teams.
