The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to administer the UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) from June 22 to June 30, 2026. The application period for this exam was open from April 29 to May 24, 2026. Currently, the NTA has initiated a correction window for candidates who have already submitted their applications. Those wishing to amend their forms can do so until 11:30 PM on May 28, 2026. After this deadline, the window will close, and any applications with errors may face rejection.

5. Your application form will be displayed on the screen.

7. Resubmit your application form and save a copy for future reference.
Subjects Covered in UGC NET 2026
**For How Many Subjects Will the Exam Be Conducted?**
The UGC NET 2026 will encompass 87 subjects, an increase from the previous 85 subjects due to the addition of Statistics and Forestry. The City Slip for the examination is expected to be released on June 10, with Admit Cards likely available on June 15, 2026.

The exam will consist of two papers featuring objective-type multiple-choice questions. Both papers will be conducted in a single session without breaks, lasting a total of 3 hours.
Except for language-specific papers, the question papers will be available in Hindi and English only. Paper-1 will have 50 questions worth 100 marks, while Paper-2 will include 100 questions worth 200 marks, totaling 300 marks for the examination.
Candidates will earn 2 marks for each correct answer, and there will be no negative marking for incorrect responses.
