Tamil Nadu Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department (TNRD) Recruitment: The TNRD has released a notification for the recruitment of 1,483 Panchayat Secretary roles. Interested candidates can submit their applications online via the official website, www.tnrd.tn.gov.in.

Age Requirements

Age Criteria:


As of July 1, 2025, the age limits are as follows:



  • General Category: 18 to 32 years


  • Backward and Most Backward Classes: 18 to 34 years


  • SC/ST, disabled, or widowed candidates: 18 to 37 years


  • Ex-servicemen (General): 18 to 50 years



Note: Ex-servicemen already selected for other government roles are not eligible for age relaxation.


Reservation Information

The recruitment includes 1,483 positions with district-wise reservations for various categories. Candidates should check the specific vacancies available in their district and category before applying.


Educational Requirements

Qualifications:


Candidates must have completed at least the 10th grade (SSLC) and should have studied Tamil up to the 8th grade, ensuring a basic understanding of the language.


Application Fees

Fee Structure:


The application fee is ₹100 for General, Backward Class, and Extremely Backward Class candidates. For Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD), the fee is only ₹5.50. Applications must be submitted by November 9, 2025, as late submissions will not be considered.
