The State Bank of India has opened applications for the role of Junior Associate Clerk. This recruitment drive aims to fill 9,124 clerk positions, and interested candidates can submit their applications online until August 31, 2026.
Eligibility Criteria
Qualifications Required:
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution in India. Those in their final year of graduation are also eligible to apply. The age limit for applicants is set between 20 and 28 years as of April 1, 2026. Age relaxation is available for candidates from reserved categories: OBC candidates receive a 3-year extension, SC and ST candidates get a 5-year extension, and candidates with disabilities are granted a 10-year extension.
Selection Process
Stages of Selection:
The selection for the Junior Associate Clerk positions will involve three phases: the Preliminary Examination, the Main Examination, and a Local Language Proficiency Test. The Preliminary Examination will consist of 100 questions, totaling 100 marks, covering English, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. This exam will last for one hour, with a penalty of one-fourth of a mark for each incorrect answer. Candidates who pass the Preliminary Examination will proceed to the Main Examination, which is worth 200 marks. Those who excel in this stage will then take the Local Language Proficiency Test.
Salary and Fees
Salary Structure:
Selected candidates will earn a monthly salary ranging from ₹24,050 to ₹64,480.
Application Fees:
For SC, ST, and PwD candidates, the application is free. General, OBC, and EWS candidates are required to pay ₹750.
