Students gearing up for the SSC GD Recruitment 2026 exam have encountered an unexpected hurdle. The Staff Selection Commission has released a notification indicating that the exam has been postponed. Originally set for February 23rd, the exam will now take place at a later date due to unforeseen circumstances.


The notification specifies that updated exam dates will be published shortly on the official SSC website, ssc.gov.in.


Self-Slot Booking Not Available

Candidates should note that the option for self-slot booking will not be available for this recruitment exam. The SSC will assign the exam center and city for all applicants.


Availability of City Slip and Admit Card

The exam city intimation slip will be accessible for download 8 to 10 days prior to the SSC GD Recruitment exam. The admit card for SSC GD 2026 will be issued 2 to 3 days before the exam date. The SSC GD Constable Recruitment Exam will feature 80 multiple-choice questions. Each correct answer will earn 2 marks, while incorrect answers will incur a penalty of 0.25 marks. Questions left unanswered will not be scored. The exam will consist of four sections, each containing 20 questions, covering topics such as General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Knowledge and Awareness, Elementary Mathematics, and Hindi/English.
