Chaos on the First Day of SSC CGL 2025

The inaugural day of the SSC CGL 2025 examination witnessed significant disruptions, with cancellations reported at various centers in Delhi, Jammu, and Gurugram. This has led to widespread frustration among the candidates, prompting the announcement of new exam dates.

The SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level Exam), a major assessment conducted by the Staff Selection Commission, commenced today. However, numerous candidates faced chaos at several locations, with around 28 lakh participants registered nationwide. Reports indicated both technical and administrative issues at multiple centers in Delhi, Gurugram, and Jammu.

Exam Schedule Disrupted

The SSC had organized the CGL exam into three distinct shifts: the first from 9 AM to 10 AM, the second from 11:45 AM to 12:45 PM, and the third from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Unfortunately, many students encountered difficulties from the outset.

Cancellations in Gurugram

In Gurugram, the examination at M.M. Public School was called off, and similarly, the paper could not proceed at Bharti Vidya Niketan School in Delhi due to administrative issues. According to the notice from the SSC, candidates affected by these cancellations will now take their exams on September 24, 25, and 26, 2025.

Technical Issues in Jammu

The first shift examination was also canceled at the Digital Computer Education Center in Jammu due to technical difficulties. The SSC (North West Region) announced that candidates from this center will now sit for their exams on September 26, 2025.

The Staff Selection Commission has urged candidates to remain patient during this time. They assured that all affected students would be notified of the new dates promptly and that future examinations would be conducted smoothly. The commission has committed to implementing stringent measures to avoid similar issues in the future.

The hopes of countless students were dashed on the first day of such a significant exam due to these glitches. The visible frustration among candidates in Delhi, Gurugram, and Jammu raises concerns about the smooth conduct of upcoming examinations.
