The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the recruitment notification for GD Constables for the year 2026. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 25,487 vacancies across various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), including the Assam Rifles and the Secretariat Security Force. Applicants must be aged between 18 and 23 years. There are provisions for age relaxation: SC and ST candidates will receive a 5-year extension, while OBC candidates and ex-servicemen will get a 3-year relaxation. Additionally, candidates must have completed their 10th grade from a recognized board. Those holding an NCC certificate will be eligible for extra benefits.
