A fantastic chance has emerged for young individuals aspiring to secure a government position within the railways. Southern Railway (SR) has announced the recruitment of 3,518 apprenticeship roles. Eligibility Criteria


Candidates wishing to apply must have completed their 10th, 12th, or possess an ITI qualification relevant to the specific trade or post. Additionally, applicants must be at least 15 years old, with the upper age limit set at 22 or 24 years, depending on the position. Age relaxation will be provided for candidates from reserved categories as per government regulations.

This recruitment drive will fill a total of 3,518 positions within Southern Railway. The distribution of posts includes 1,394 for Carriage & Wagon Works in Perambur, 857 for the Central Workshop in Golden Rock, and 1,267 for Signal and Telecom Workshop Units in Podanur.
