In preparation for the 18th BRICS Summit, security and traffic measures have been significantly enhanced in the capital. The government has announced that all schools will be closed on Friday, September 11, 2026, as the summit is set to occur at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on September 12 and 13.

Due to the presence of international dignitaries and prominent leaders, traffic patterns on various roads will be modified, and security protocols will be intensified.
