Important Update for RRB Junior Engineer Candidates



Candidates preparing for the RRB Junior Engineer examination have received crucial information. The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced the updated exam schedule for the Junior Engineer position. Aspirants can now adjust their study plans according to the new exam dates.


**Exam Dates**


As per the RRB's announcement, the Junior Engineer examination is set to take place on October 27 and 28 at various exam centers nationwide. A total of 4,029 candidates will be selected through this process, with vacancies allocated as follows: 1,714 for the General category, 398 for EWS, 919 for OBC, 632 for SC, and 366 for ST.


**CBT-1 Exam Structure**


The CBT-1 exam will consist of 100 questions, each carrying one mark, covering subjects such as Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science. There will be a penalty for incorrect answers, with one-third of a mark deducted for each wrong response. To advance to the next phase, candidates in the General and EWS categories must achieve at least 40% marks, while OBC and SC candidates need 30%, and ST candidates require 25%. Those who pass this stage will be invited to take the CBT-2 examination.


**Release of Exam City Slip**


The RRB has indicated that the exam city slip for the Junior Engineer examination is expected to be available 10 days before the exam, specifically by October 17. Furthermore, admit cards will be distributed four days prior to the examination.
