Exam Pattern for Railway Group D

Railway Group D Exam Pattern


The RRB Group D examination will be conducted as a Computer-Based Test (CBT), featuring multiple-choice questions. The exam will consist of 100 questions, with a total duration of 90 minutes. For candidates with disabilities, the exam duration will extend to 120 minutes with the assistance of a scribe. The question distribution is as follows:



  • 25 questions from General Science


  • 25 questions from Mathematics


  • 30 questions from General Intelligence and Reasoning


  • 20 questions from General Awareness and Current Affairs



Each correct answer will earn 1 mark, while 1/3 mark will be deducted for incorrect answers.


Selection Process for RRB Group D

The selection for Railway Group D comprises a Computer-Based Test (CBT), a Physical Efficiency Test (PET), and Document Verification. The normalization of marks will be applied in the CBT.
