RRB Announces Revised Exam Dates for NTPC Recruitment 2025

Updated Schedule for RRB NTPC Exam
The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has announced a change in the exam dates for the Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC) recruitment for 2025. According to the updated timetable, the Stage 1 Computer-Based Test (CBT 1) is now set to take place from June 5 to June 24, 2025, with multiple shifts scheduled nationwide. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards from the official website once they are available.
As stated in the notification, "The LINK for checking the Exam City & Date and for downloading Travel Authority for SC/ST candidates will be activated 10 days before the exam date on the official RRB websites."
This recruitment initiative aims to fill a total of 11,558 positions, which includes 8,113 vacancies for graduates and 3,445 for undergraduates.
Exam Structure for RRB NTPC
The Stage 1 CBT will feature 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) to be completed within 90 minutes. The exam is divided into three segments: General Awareness (40 questions), Mathematics (30 questions), and General Intelligence & Reasoning (30 questions). Each correct response earns 1 mark, while incorrect answers incur a penalty of ⅓ mark. Candidates with disabilities who require scribes will receive an additional 30 minutes to complete the exam.
