Overview of Junior Engineer Recruitment



The Railway Recruitment Board (RRB) has issued a notification for the recruitment of 2,569 Junior Engineer roles. Aspiring candidates can expect the online application process to commence on October 31st, with the final date for submissions set for November 30, 2025. Additionally, applicants will have the opportunity to pay their fees online until December 2, 2025. Corrections to submitted applications can be made from December 3 to December 12.


Salary and Age Requirements

Salary:


Selected individuals will earn a monthly salary of ₹35,400.


Age Limit:


Candidates must be at least 18 years old and not older than 33 years to apply. Age relaxations are applicable: SC and ST candidates receive a 5-year extension, OBC candidates get a 3-year extension, and those with disabilities are granted a 10-year extension.

The application fee varies by category: General, EWS, and OBC candidates must pay ₹500, while SC, ST, women, and disabled candidates are required to pay ₹250.


Selection Process

Selection Procedure:


Candidates will undergo a selection process that includes Stage 1 and Stage 2 exams, followed by document verification and a medical examination. The Stage 1 exam consists of 100 multiple-choice questions covering Mathematics, General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness, and General Science, totaling 100 marks. This exam will last 90 minutes and includes negative marking of one-third for incorrect answers. A Stage 2 exam will follow for those who qualify.
