Updated Notification for UPSSSC Lekhpal Recruitment 2026: The Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has issued a revised notification concerning the recruitment of Revenue Lekhpal (Revenue Accountant) for the year 2025. This updated notification reflects modifications in the number of posts allocated to various categories. Notably, the allocation for the OBC category has been increased, while the General category has seen a decrease in its post count. Below are the current allocations for each category.
The application process remains unchanged. Candidates who have successfully passed the UP PET 2025 can submit their applications for the Lekhpal positions from December 29, 2025, to January 28, 2026, via the official UPSSSC website, upsssc.gov.in. A total of 7994 Lekhpal positions are available. The earlier notification had fewer posts for several categories, including OBC, prompting requests for an increase.

In the earlier notification, the General category had the highest allocation with 4165 posts. The OBC category had 1441, Scheduled Caste 1446, Scheduled Tribe 150, and Economically Weaker Section 792. Following demands for an increase in OBC posts, the commission revised the notification to reflect the new allocations.

Candidates applying for the Lekhpal role will undergo a written examination followed by document verification.
