Results Released for Junior Intelligence Officer Exam
New Delhi: The Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) has officially announced the results for the Junior Intelligence Officer-II/Technical (JIO-II/Tech) recruitment examination for 2025. This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 394 vacancies within the technical cadre of the Intelligence Bureau. Candidates who participated in the examination can check and download their results from the official website, mha.gov.in.
Selected candidates will receive notifications via email and SMS regarding the download of their call letters for the skill test and interview, which will include details such as date, time, location, and other relevant instructions.
Official Statement from IB
The Intelligence Bureau (IB) stated in an official announcement, 'Based on the written examination/computer-based test conducted on October 15, 2025, candidates with the issued roll numbers have been shortlisted for the skill test and interview.'
It further added, 'Candidates will be informed via email/SMS to download their call letters for the skill test and interview, which will include date, time, location, and relevant instructions.'
The recruitment notification was previously released, and applications were accepted from August 23 to September 14, 2025. The written examination took place in October 2025.
Details of Vacancies
Out of the 394 positions, 157 are for the unreserved category, 117 for other backward classes, 32 for economically weaker sections, 60 for scheduled castes, and 28 for scheduled tribes.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates were required to possess a diploma in engineering subjects such as electronics, electrical, information technology, or computer science, or a bachelor's degree in science subjects including electronics, computer science, physics, or mathematics. A bachelor's degree in computer applications was also acceptable.
Age Limit
As of September 14, 2025, the age limit was set between 18 to 27 years, with applicable relaxations as per government norms.
Application Fee
The application fee was ₹650 for general, OBC, and EWS candidates, while SC, ST, persons with disabilities, and female candidates were required to pay ₹550.
Candidates can view their results through the official portals of the Ministry of Home Affairs and the Intelligence Bureau. Detailed information regarding document verification and the next steps in the recruitment process is expected to be announced separately.
