Rajasthan VDO Exam Rescheduled: The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board (RSSB) has announced a delay in the Gram Vikas Adhikari Recruitment Exam for 2025. Initially set for 31 August 2025, the exam has now been moved to a later date.


The new exam date is 2 November 2025.


As per the official announcement, the Rajasthan VDO Recruitment Exam will take place on 2 November 2025. This recruitment drive aims to fill 850 positions, which include 683 roles in non-scheduled areas and 167 in scheduled areas. Additionally, the board will soon disclose the revised date for the Lab Assistant exam.

Selection Process Overview


Candidates vying for the Gram Vikas Adhikari (VDO) positions will undergo a selection process that includes a written examination. This will be conducted in two stages: the preliminary examination followed by the main examination. Only those who pass the preliminary exam will qualify for the main exam.


Salary Structure


Selected candidates will receive a competitive salary as per the 7th Pay Commission, aligned with Pay Matrix Level-6, consistent with government service standards.


Appointment Process Following Selection


Once the selection process concludes, the list of successful candidates will be forwarded to the Rajasthan Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department. A district-wise merit list will then be compiled, leading to the appointment of candidates as Probationer Trainees. This procedure adheres to departmental guidelines.


According to regulations, all appointed candidates will serve a probation period of two years. During this time, they will receive only the fixed remuneration set by the state government, typically ranging from Rs 18,000 to Rs 23,700, without any additional allowances (DA, HRA, etc.).
