Rajasthan VDO Exam Update

The Rajasthan Staff Selection Board has announced a change in the schedule for the Rural Development Officer (VDO) recruitment exam, which will now take place on November 2, 2025, instead of the previously set date of August 31. This decision comes after receiving over 540,000 applications for the 850 available positions.

Alok Raj, the Chairman of the Rajasthan Staff Selection Board, stated that the high number of applicants necessitated a single-day examination to ensure fairness. Conducting the exam on multiple days would require a normalization process, which the board aims to avoid to maintain transparency and equal opportunity for all candidates.

Application Timeline

The application period for the Rural Development Officer Recruitment was open from June 19 to July 18, 2025. Candidates must hold a graduate degree and possess basic computer knowledge, which can be demonstrated by having a computer subject in their 12th-grade curriculum or completing a recognized computer diploma.

Selection Process Overview

The recruitment will follow a two-stage selection process: first, a preliminary exam will be conducted, followed by a main exam. The final selection will be based on the results of the main exam.
