Application Process for JLO: The Rajasthan Public Service Commission (RPSC) has initiated the application process for the recruitment of Junior Legal Officers (JLO). A total of 12 positions are available for qualified candidates. Interested individuals can submit their applications online through the official RPSC website. The deadline for applications is set for September 25, 2025.

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible, candidates must possess a Bachelor's degree in Law from a recognized institution in India.

Language Proficiency and Cultural Awareness: Candidates should be proficient in writing Hindi (in Devanagari script) and have a good understanding of Rajasthan's culture.

Age Requirements:
The age range for applicants is between 21 and 40 years. Candidates from SC, ST, OBC, EWS categories, and general female candidates from Rajasthan will receive a 5-year age relaxation. Additionally, SC, ST, OBC, and EWS female candidates from Rajasthan will benefit from a 10-year age relaxation.

Application Fees:
The application fee is set at Rs 600 for general and OBC candidates, while SC, ST, and Divyang candidates will pay Rs 400.

Selection Process:
The selection for the RPSC Junior Legal Officer (JLO) will occur in two phases: a written examination followed by an interview. The written test will consist of four papers covering the Constitution of India, Civil and Criminal Procedure Code, Evidence Act, and Interpretation of Laws, along with a Language paper (Hindi and English). Each paper carries marks of 50, 50, 50, and 25+25 respectively.

The duration for each paper is 3 hours, with a minimum passing mark set at 40% (with a 5% relaxation for SC/ST candidates). The examination will feature 150 objective-type questions, and a penalty of 1/3 marks will apply for incorrect answers. The language paper will align with the Senior Secondary level.
