Eligibility Criteria

Who Can Apply?


Applicants must possess a bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized institution. It is essential to have the degree or mark sheet available at the time of application.

Minimum Age: 20 years


Maximum Age: 30 years


Age will be calculated as of 1 July 2026. Age relaxation will be provided for reserved categories as per government regulations.


Relaxation Details

Relaxation is as follows:



  • SC/ST: 5 years

  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years

  • PwBD: 10 years

  • Ex-Servicemen: 5 years

  • 1984 Riot-affected: 5 years


Candidates must have at least one year of post-graduation experience as a clerk or officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank or Regional Rural Bank (RRB). Proficiency in the local language of the state for which they are applying is mandatory.


Salary and Benefits

What is the salary for PNB LBO?


Selected candidates will receive a salary ranging from ₹48,480 to ₹85,920 per month. Additional benefits include Dearness Allowance (DA), House Rent Allowance (HRA), City Compensatory Allowance (CCA), medical facilities, Leave Fare Concession (LFC), and other banking perks.

How will the selection take place?


The selection process will consist of four stages:



  • Online written examination

  • Document verification (screening)

  • Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT), if applicable

  • Personal interview


Appointment Terms

What are the terms of appointment?


Candidates selected will undergo a probation period of two years. They are required to serve in the selected state for 9 years or until promotion to SMG Scale-IV, whichever comes first. A bond to serve the bank for 3 years must also be executed; resigning before this period will incur a penalty of ₹2 lakh. At the time of joining, candidates must have a CIBIL score of at least 680.
