Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has officially announced the recruitment for various positions, including Field Engineer and Field Supervisor. A total of 1,543 vacancies are available. The application process commenced today, and interested candidates can submit their applications online through the official website powergrid.in until September 17, 2025, at 11:59 PM.


The recruitment drive will fill the following positions:



  • 532 Field Engineer (Electrical)


  • 198 Field Engineer (Civil)


  • 535 Field Supervisor (Electrical)


  • 193 Field Supervisor (Civil)


  • 85 Field Supervisor (Electronics and Communication)



Eligibility Criteria:


Field Engineer (Civil): Candidates must possess a BE/B.Tech/B.Sc in Civil Engineering with a minimum of 55% marks and at least one year of relevant experience in design, construction, testing, and commissioning in areas such as rural electrification and substations. Experience in a PSU or a recognized company is preferred.


Field Supervisor (Electrical): A Diploma in Electrical Engineering or a related field with 55% marks is required. Candidates should have one year of experience in construction, testing, and commissioning in relevant sectors. Higher degrees like BE/B.Tech/M.Tech are not accepted, and PSU experience is preferred.


Field Supervisor (Civil): Applicants need a Diploma in Civil Engineering with 55% marks and one year of relevant experience. Higher qualifications are not permitted, and experience in a PSU or recognized company is advantageous.


Field Supervisor (Electronics and Communication): Candidates must hold a Diploma in Electronics, Electrical, IT, or a related field with 55% marks. One year of experience in construction, testing, and commissioning is required. Higher degrees are not accepted.


Application Fee:
The application fee is set at Rs 400 for Field Engineer positions and Rs 300 for Field Supervisor roles. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, and XSM categories are exempt from the application fee.
