The Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) has released a notification regarding the recruitment of trade apprentices. The application window opened on September 15 and will remain open until October 16, 2025. Interested candidates can apply online via the official PGCIL website, ensuring they meet the eligibility criteria before submitting their applications.


Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who have completed their 10th grade, ITI, BE, B.Tech, BSc, or Diploma in relevant fields are eligible to apply, depending on the specific post. Additionally, applicants must be at least 18 years old.


How to Apply

To apply for the apprenticeship positions, candidates should visit the official website at www.powergrid.in. Applications must be submitted online, as no other submission methods will be accepted. Importantly, there is no application fee, allowing candidates from all backgrounds to apply at no cost.

Candidates must prepare the following documents for their application:


1. Apprenticeship registration/enrollment number under NATS/NAPS, along with a fully updated profile on the portal.


2. Scanned copies of educational certificates and mark sheets.


3. Age verification documents (such as a matriculation certificate, Aadhaar card, or passport).


4. Caste certificate (if applicable) in the Government of India format for SC/ST/OBC (NCL).


5. A canceled cheque or the first page of a passbook for DBT-enabled account details.


6. A recent color passport-sized photograph and signature.


Selection Process

The selection of candidates will be based solely on their educational qualifications, without any examination or interview. Those shortlisted will undergo document verification conducted by PGCIL. Following this, a final list of candidates will be compiled, and those selected will receive appointments for the available positions. The apprenticeship duration is set for 12 months.
