CSIR UGC NET 2025: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced an extension for the registration period for the CSIR UGC NET December 2025 examination. Candidates now have until October 27, 2025, to submit their applications via the official website: https://csirnet.nta.nic.in/. The previous deadline was set for October 24.

The application process commenced on September 25, and the examination is scheduled for December 18, 2025.

CSIR UGC NET 2025: Application Fee Payment Deadline

The final date for payment of the application fee is October 28. Candidates can make corrections to their application forms from October 30 to November 1. This examination is specifically designed for students in the science stream and is essential for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF), eligibility for lectureship, and assistant professorship roles in universities, as well as for PhD admissions. The CSIR UGC NET is conducted biannually.

Eligibility Criteria

CSIR UGC NET 2025: Age Limit

The maximum age for JRF applicants is 30 years. Candidates from SC, ST, third gender, Persons with Disabilities, and female applicants are eligible for a five-year age relaxation, while OBC non-creamy layer candidates can avail a three-year relaxation. There is no age restriction for those applying for lectureship or assistant professorship.
