Exciting Opportunity for Athletes: The Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) has announced the opening of online applications for 56 positions under the sports quota. Eligibility Criteria:
To apply, candidates must meet the following educational qualifications:
For Level-2 and Level-3 Positions:
Completion of 12th grade or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.
For Level-1 Positions:
Completion of 10th grade, or an ITI qualification, or a National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) from NCVT.
Additionally, candidates must have valid sports achievements obtained after April 1, 2024:
- For Level-2/3: Participation in recognized international or national competitions, or securing at least third place in national events.
- For Level-1: Participation in or achieving a specified position in national or state-level competitions.
Age Requirements:
Applicants must be aged between 18 and 25 years as of January 1, 2027. The Class 10 mark sheet or certificate will serve as age proof.
Salary Structure:
Selected candidates will receive salaries according to the 7th Pay Commission guidelines:
- Level-3: Grade Pay ₹2000
- Level-2: Grade Pay ₹1900
- Level-1: Grade Pay ₹1800
Additional allowances will be provided as per the applicable rules.
Selection Process:
The recruitment will occur in two phases:
- Sports Trial (40 marks):
Marks will be awarded based on sports ability, physical fitness, performance, and coach's assessment. Candidates scoring 25 or more marks will advance to the next stage. - Interview and Assessment (60 marks):
Marks will be allocated based on sports achievements (50 marks) and educational qualifications (10 marks).
Minimum Qualifying Marks:
Level-3: 65 marks
Level-2 and Level-1: 60 marks
Key Recruitment Points:
Selected candidates will undergo a two-year probation period and must sign a bond to serve Indian Railways for a minimum of five years post-appointment. Candidates must also meet the medical standards for their respective posts. No travel allowance will be provided for attending the sports trial, and players must bring their own sports equipment.
