NEET UG Re-Examination Scheduled for June 21 Following Controversy
NEET UG Examination Cancellation and Rescheduling
The NEET UG examination was recently cancelled due to a controversy surrounding a leaked question paper. This incident affected over 2.3 million students who had registered for the exam. In light of this cancellation, many students were left wondering if the NEET UG would be rescheduled.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has now confirmed the new date for the NEET UG examination. Students planning to take the re-examination are encouraged to enhance their study efforts as the exam is set for June.
**New Exam Date Announced**
As per the official announcement from the NTA, the NEET UG examination will take place on June 21 across the country. Furthermore, the NTA is expected to release the admit cards shortly. Candidates can download their admit cards from the NTA's official website: neet.nta.nic.in.
**Re-Registration Not Required**
The NTA has clarified that students who wish to participate in the NEET UG re-examination do not need to register again. Additionally, there will be no extra fees for these candidates.
**Background of the Controversy**
Prior to the NEET UG examination, a significant issue arose when a 'guess paper' was leaked. This occurred just days before the exam, with these papers being shared among students via WhatsApp in Sikar, Rajasthan, and at various coaching centers. An investigation by the Special Operations Group (SOG) of Rajasthan revealed that many questions in the NEET exam closely resembled those found in the leaked guess paper.
