The National Testing Agency (NTA) held the NEET UG 2026 exam on May 3, attracting around 2.3 million candidates. Unfortunately, the examination faced cancellation due to a paper leak issue, prompting the NTA to announce a re-examination on June 21.
In a recent update, the NTA confirmed that students participating in the re-exam will not incur any extra fees. Additionally, they are eligible for a refund of their initial examination fees. To apply for a refund, students should visit the official NTA website: neet.nta.nic.in. After logging in with their credentials, they must provide accurate bank account information and submit the application. Once submitted, the refund will be credited directly to their bank accounts.

The fees collected during the NEET UG examination varied by candidate category: General category candidates paid ₹1,700; OBC and EWS candidates paid ₹1,600; SC and ST candidates paid ₹1,000; and foreign candidates were charged ₹9,500.
