NEET UG 2026 Application Correction Details
The application period for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test - Undergraduate (NEET UG Form 2026) ran from February 8 to March 11. A significant number of candidates submitted their applications for this examination. The National Testing Agency has now activated the NEET Correction Window starting today, March 12, which will remain accessible until March 14, 2026, at 11:50 PM.
Candidates who have made errors in their application forms can rectify these mistakes within the specified timeframe. Please note that all corrections must be completed online.
Permissible Corrections in the Application Form:
Candidates can amend the following details in their application:
- Either Father's name, qualification, and occupation, or Mother's name, qualification, and occupation
- Educational qualifications (Class X and Class XII), State/Union Territory of the 12th/equivalent examination
- Category and Subcategory/Person with Disability
- Signature
- Number of attempts in NEET (UG)
Exam City and Medium Changes:
Candidates may also modify their exam city based on their permanent address and the medium of examination. This option is available only for those who registered using an identity card other than Aadhaar.
Application Statistics:
As of now, over 22.60 lakh applications have been submitted nationwide for this examination. The NEET UG exam is scheduled for May 3, 2026, and will be conducted in a pen-and-paper format from 2 PM to 5 PM. This examination is crucial for securing admission to MBBS and other medical programs in both government and private medical institutions across the country, with approximately 129,000 MBBS seats currently available.
