MPPSC Prelims Result 2026: The Madhya Pradesh Public Service Commission (MPPSC) has officially published the results for the State Service Prelims Examination 2026. A significant number of candidates who passed the exam are now gearing up for the Mains examination. This year, the Commission has selected 3,786 candidates to advance to the Mains stage. The results have been divided into two lists this time. The first is the Regular Merit List, which comprises 3,055 candidates, while the second is the Provisional List, containing 731 candidates. The MPPSC has made it clear that these lists will remain separate, and there will be no changes or exchanges between them. This decision was influenced by ongoing court cases and the dispute surrounding OBC reservations.


Recruitment Details

**Recruitment to be Conducted for Only 156 Posts**
The Commission has confirmed that the recruitment process will only cover the previously announced 156 posts, with no additional positions being added. The Prelims examination took place on April 26 across 54 district headquarters in the state, conducted in two shifts.


OBC Reservation Dispute Impact

**Separate Rules Formulated Due to OBC Reservation Dispute**
Due to pending court cases related to the State Service Examination 2019, the MPPSC has allocated 87 percent of the posts to the regular recruitment process, while 13 percent are in a provisional category awaiting the court's final decision. Out of the total posts, 42 are reserved for the OBC category, with 26 in the Regular List and 16 in the Provisional List.
