Exciting Recruitment Rally for Mizoram's Youth
Great news is on the horizon for the youth in Mizoram as a recruitment rally is set to take place. The Mizoram government is organizing its inaugural recruitment rally for the Territorial Army (TA) from November 15 to 25. This announcement was made by a member of the ruling party.
Importantly, this rally will also provide job opportunities for women, allowing them to participate actively.
Venue and Organization of the Recruitment Drive
Lieutenant Colonel Clement Lalhmingthanga, an MLA from the ruling Zoram People's Movement (ZPM), shared details during a press conference. The recruitment rally for the Territorial Army (Home and Hearth) will be held at Rajiv Gandhi Stadium, organized in collaboration with the 166th Assam Infantry Battalion (Territorial Army). He emphasized that this initiative will create new avenues for Mizo youth, including women, to join the armed forces.
Available Positions and Benefits
Lalhmingthanga, who leads the state-level committee responsible for coordinating the Territorial Army, revealed that the rally aims to fill 144 general duty personnel positions, with nine specifically reserved for women to promote their involvement in the military. He noted that TA personnel will receive salaries comparable to those of the Indian Army, along with various benefits, including medical assistance.
He further explained that appointments will be made for an extended duration based on individual performance and requirements. After their service period, personnel will be eligible for pensions and additional benefits. This recruitment drive represents a significant opportunity for many young individuals in the state, who have been eagerly awaiting such openings.
