Exciting News for Job Seekers in Education

For candidates seeking government jobs, significant news has emerged. The Uttar Pradesh government plans to recruit approximately 23,213 teachers and principals in aided secondary schools for the upcoming academic session. The Secondary Education Department has requested the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission to initiate the recruitment process for these vacant positions. The commission is now set to proceed with the necessary steps.

Previous Recruitment Delays

The last recruitment for vacant positions in the state's aided secondary schools began in 2016, but it was not completed until 2021. After a considerable gap, the Secondary Education Department has now initiated the recruitment process. According to the request sent to the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission, there are 1,502 principal positions, 1,003 headmaster roles, 2,705 lecturer posts, 16,114 assistant teacher positions, and 1,889 assistant teacher vacancies, totaling 23,213 openings.

Vacancies Across Schools

The Director of Higher Education, Surendra Kumar Tiwari, has submitted the list of vacant positions to the commission. There are a total of 4,512 aided schools in the state, with 4,479 of them having vacancies for teachers and principals. He noted that filling these positions after such a long time will enhance the teaching and learning processes in these schools.

Current Teaching Arrangements

Currently, most schools are relying on existing teachers to manage the teaching responsibilities in these vacant positions. This has occasionally disrupted students' education. However, with the new session approaching, normalcy is expected to return.

Ongoing Recruitment Processes

It is important to mention that the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission is continuing the recruitment process for PGT and TGT positions in aided secondary schools that began in 2022. The PGT (lecturer recruitment exam) was conducted on May 9 and 10 for 624 positions. Meanwhile, the TGT (assistant teacher recruitment exam) is scheduled for June 3 and 4, covering 3,539 positions, although the recruitment process is currently ongoing for 4,136 posts.

Assistant Professor Recruitment in Degree Colleges

Additionally, the recruitment exam for assistant professors in aided degree colleges took place on April 18 and 19, with 1,017 positions available.
