Overview: The newly established Vidushi Arundhati Centre for Indian Knowledge Traditions at Maitreyi College, University of Delhi, has garnered significant interest from female students seeking internship opportunities. As of now, 250 registrations have been recorded for the internship scheduled from January to June 2026. A panel discussion will be held on November 14th to finalize selections.
High Registration Numbers:
According to the college administration, over 250 female students have signed up for the inaugural internship program, reflecting their keen interest and understanding of Indian knowledge traditions.
This initiative is spearheaded by the college's Principal, Prof. Haritma Chopra, with support from Vice Principal, Prof. Jyoti Singh. The program aims to immerse students in the rich insights of Indian culture, thought, and tradition while offering hands-on learning experiences.
Dr. Pramod Kumar Singh, the Nodal Officer of the Center and Deputy Dean of Students' Welfare at DU, mentioned that selected students will engage in various academic and creative tasks at the Center, including event management, technical assistance, media documentation, report writing, and research on Indian knowledge systems.
Selection Process on November 14, 2025:
The selection will culminate in a group discussion on November 14, 2025, after which chosen students will be affiliated with the Center from January to June 2026.
Participants who successfully complete the program will receive a certificate of appreciation along with an internship completion certificate from the Vidushi Arundhati Center for Indian Knowledge Traditions, Maitreyi College, and the Council of Indic Studies and Research. Currently, this opportunity is exclusively available for female students of Maitreyi College.
