The Maharashtra State Examination Council has released an important notification for aspiring teachers regarding the Maharashtra Teacher Eligibility Test (MAHA TET) for 2025.


The application process for the MAHA TET 2025 has commenced today. Interested candidates can submit their applications online by visiting the official websites mahatet.in and mscepune.in.


Candidates can expect the release of the MAHA TET 2025 admit card on November 10. The examination is scheduled to take place on November 23 throughout Maharashtra, divided into two shifts. The first shift will run from 10:30 AM to 1 PM for teachers of classes 1 to 5, while the second shift will be from 2:30 PM to 5 PM for those teaching classes 6 to 8.


Eligibility Criteria and Application Fees

The educational qualifications required for this examination vary based on the paper. For Paper 1, candidates must have completed their 12th grade and possess either a D.Ed or B.Ed degree. For Paper 2, candidates should either be 12th pass or graduates with a D.Ed or B.Ed degree. Those wishing to apply for both papers must hold a D.Ed or B.Ed along with their 12th pass or graduation.


The application fees for the MAHA TET exam differ based on the papers applied for. Candidates applying for either Paper 1 or Paper 2 will need to pay a fee of Rs 700. If a candidate opts to apply for both papers, the total fee will be Rs 900. Payments can only be made online.


Exam Pattern and Selection Process

The exam pattern for MAHA TET will remain unchanged from previous years. In Paper 1, questions will cover subjects such as Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, Language 2, Mathematics, and Environmental Studies, with 30 questions from each subject, totaling 150 marks.


For Paper 2, questions will also be based on Child Development and Pedagogy, Language 1, and Language 2. Additionally, candidates must select one subject from Mathematics and Science or Social Science, depending on their qualifications. This paper will consist of 150 questions, with a maximum score of 150.


Candidates will be selected through a written examination followed by document verification. Successful candidates in the written exam will be invited for document verification, and final selection will depend on the accuracy of their submitted documents.
