The Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board (MPESB) has announced a recruitment drive for a total of 655 positions, which includes roles for Subedar (Stenographer) and Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI Ministerial) within the Police Headquarters, Home (Police) Department. Specifically, there are 135 vacancies for Subedar (Stenographer) and 520 for ASI (Ministerial). The online application window will open on September 24, 2026, and candidates can submit their applications until October 8. The recruitment examination is slated for November.


Details of the Vacant Positions

The MPESB recruitment initiative aims to fill 655 vacant positions, including 135 for Subedar (Stenographer) and 520 for Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI Ministerial). Applicants must fulfill the educational and computer proficiency requirements set for each position.


Eligibility Criteria

The age limit for applicants is capped at 33 years. However, female candidates from Madhya Pradesh and those belonging to SC, ST, and OBC categories are eligible for a 5-year age relaxation, raising the maximum age limit to 38 years.


Examination and Selection Process

The selection process will commence with a Computer-Based Test (CBT), followed by document verification, a typing/stenography skill test, and a medical examination. The written test is scheduled to take place on November 3, 2026, in two shifts: from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM.


Salary and Application Fees

Selected candidates for the Subedar position will earn a monthly salary ranging from ₹36,200 to ₹1,14,800, while those appointed as ASI (Ministerial) will receive a salary between ₹19,500 and ₹62,000. The application fee is set at ₹500 for candidates from the General category, whereas SC, ST, OBC, and EWS candidates from Madhya Pradesh will pay a reduced fee of ₹250.
