Announcement of Exam Dates: The Directorate of Higher Secondary Education (DHSE) in Kerala has unveiled the examination schedule for the Higher Secondary Examination for Class 11 (1st Year) and Class 12 (2nd Year) for the year 2026. The Class 12 board exams are set to commence on March 6, while the Class 11 exams will take place from March 5 to March 27.
Details of March Exams:
The Class 12 examinations will kick off on March 6 with subjects including Physics, Sociology, and Anthropology. This will be followed by Home Science, Gandhian Studies, Philosophy, Journalism, Computer Science, and Statistics. The final exam for Class 12 will be English Part 1, scheduled for March 28.
The Class 11 exams are scheduled from March 5 to March 27. Students in Class 11 can expect their admit cards to be available starting February 16, 2026. Additionally, the deadline for submitting application forms for Kerala Plus One and Two is set for November 25, 2025.
Evaluation Structure:
The notification outlines that the Kerala Second Year Higher Secondary Examination (Plus Two) will include Continuous Evaluation (CE), Practical Evaluation (PE), and Final Evaluation (TE). In contrast, the First Year (Plus One) examination will consist solely of CE and TE.
Practical Exams for Class 12:
To qualify for the exams, students must complete CE (General Studies) across all subjects and maintain at least 75% attendance. The practical exams for Class 12 will commence on January 22, 2026, with admit cards being issued from January 15, 2026.
Examination Fees:
According to the fee structure, candidates taking the Kerala Class 11 and 12 Board Examinations in 2026 will need to pay ₹40 as a certificate fee in addition to the standard examination fee.
Students choosing Additional Mathematics (Commerce) through SCOLE Kerala will incur a certificate fee of ₹40, along with ₹500 for each theory paper.
Regular students appearing for the first time are exempt from the exam fee, while private and supplementary candidates must pay the required fees through their respective institutions.
