1. Pathway 1: Direct Officer Entry through NDA
If your ambition is to join the Indian Navy at a Class-1 corporate level as a Commissioned Officer, the National Defence Academy (NDA) is the ideal route. The NDA exam is conducted twice a year by the UPSC (Union Public Service Commission).
Educational Qualification: Candidates must have completed their 12th grade with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM). Age Limit: Applicants must be aged between 16.5 and 19.5 years at the time of applying for the NDA exam.
Selection Process: The process begins with passing the UPSC written examination, followed by a 5-day interview conducted by the Service Selection Board (SSB) and a medical examination.
